Gold Jewelry We Purchase
We buy gold jewelry of every type, karat, and condition. Rings, chains, bracelets, earrings, pendants, brooches, cufflinks, tie bars, anklets, and gold watches all qualify. We accept 10K, 14K, 18K, 22K, and 24K gold. Italian gold, Middle Eastern gold, and gold from any origin is welcome.
Physical condition does not affect the metal value. We buy broken chains, single earrings, bent rings, tangled necklaces, and pieces with missing stones. If your gold jewelry is collecting dust because it is damaged, outdated, or simply not your style, it still holds real value based on weight and purity.
Popular items we see from Fort Worth clients include Cuban link chains, rope chains, herringbone necklaces, tennis bracelets, wedding bands, engagement ring settings, class rings from TCU, signet rings, charm bracelets, and watches from brands like Rolex, Omega, and Cartier. We also buy dental gold and gold eyeglass frames.
How We Calculate Gold Jewelry Value
Every piece of gold jewelry that comes through our Camp Bowie location is tested and weighed while you watch. We use an XRF spectrometer to determine the exact karat and purity of your gold without damaging the piece. The XRF reads metal composition in seconds and displays the result on screen for you to see.
We then weigh your items on a precision scale certified by the Texas Department of Agriculture. The weight is displayed directly to you.
The math is simple. We multiply the weight of your gold by its purity percentage, then multiply by the current gold spot price. A 14K gold chain weighing 20 grams contains roughly 11.7 grams of pure gold (14/24 = .585 purity). We multiply 11.7 grams by the live spot price per gram to arrive at the melt value. Our offer is based on a competitive percentage of that figure.
Some gold jewelry is worth more than melt. Designer pieces from brands like Tiffany, Cartier, David Yurman, and Van Cleef carry premiums because of their name and craftsmanship. Antique and vintage jewelry from the Art Deco, Victorian, and Edwardian periods can bring higher prices as well. We evaluate each piece for both metal value and potential resale or collector value, and we pay whichever number is higher.
Selling Inherited Gold Jewelry
Many of our Fort Worth clients visit us after inheriting gold jewelry from a parent, spouse, or other family member. We understand this can be a sensitive decision, and we approach every interaction with patience and respect.
If you have inherited a collection and are unsure what is valuable versus what is costume, bring everything in. We sort through it all, separate the real gold from the plated or costume pieces, and tell you exactly what each item is worth. There is no fee for this evaluation and no pressure to sell.
If you need a written appraisal for estate settlement, probate court, insurance documentation, or tax reporting, we provide that as well. Our written appraisals are itemized and include descriptions, photographs, and current market values for each piece.
Why a Dedicated Gold Buyer Pays More Than a Pawn Shop
Pawn shops handle everything from electronics to power tools to musical instruments. Gold is a small fraction of their business, and they typically offer 30 to 50 percent of actual value. They price low because they need room to resell or plan to melt it and sell the raw gold to a refiner at a markup.
A dedicated gold buyer like Fort Worth Gold Buyers pays more because gold is our entire business. We have direct relationships with refiners, move higher volumes, and work on tighter margins. The result is a bigger payout for you. If you have gotten a quote from a pawn shop or another gold buyer in Fort Worth, bring it in and let us give you a second look. We are confident our offer will be higher.

Is Now a Good Time to Sell Gold Jewelry?
Gold prices have been trading near record highs throughout 2025 and into 2026, driven by central bank purchases, inflation concerns, and global economic uncertainty. For gold jewelry sellers, this means the gold content in your pieces is worth more today than at almost any point in history.
A 14K gold chain that was worth $300 in melt value five years ago could be worth $500 or more today. The gold content has not changed, but the price per ounce has climbed sharply. If you have been thinking about selling gold jewelry you no longer wear, the current market makes this a good time.
Gold prices move daily. We base every offer on the live spot price at the time of your visit, so you always receive a price reflecting current conditions. If you want to know what your gold jewelry is worth today, call us at 817-367-4653 or visit our Camp Bowie location.
